Emotional Eating & Unhelpful Behaviours - Group Workshop

Come along to our friendly and informal group talk (Booking Essential)

Emotional eating is using food to help soothe unpleasant feelings and emotions. Changing the way we eat can be difficult enough, but nothing will work unless we address the underlying cause of emotional eating. Learning to recognise triggers is the first step towards breaking free from unhealthy eating habits and behaviours which are often accumulated over many years. There are many reasons why we emotionally eat, and this course looks at identifying your triggers and barriers and what steps you can put in place to overcome these challenges. It can also be applied to any unhealthy behaviour such as excessive drinking or smoking.

This workshop will include:

  • Reasons for wanting to change and readiness for change
  • Knowing the difference between genuine hunger and emotional eating
  • How the brain regulates emotions
  • Identifying triggers, barriers or challenges that may be preventing change
  • Simple steps and tools for managing emotional eating and preventing unhealthy behaviours

You must live or work in the Horsham District to attend our free workshop.

Let's Talk About Sleep

This short talk will look at factors affecting sleep and highlights the reasons why we are finding it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep through the night. We will show you how to work out your best sleep time and figure out what type of sleeper you are and how many hours you really need. We also offer helpful tools and advice to support you getting a good night sleep.

This talk is suitable for people who have mild to moderate sleep issues. If you suffer with insomnia or any health conditions that are affecting your sleep, you should contact your GP. You must also live OR work in the Horsham district to book a place.
